Seems strange that we would have two fully funded for the next 5 years...

Not really. You don't cancel support for old tech just as its replacement comes online. Maintenance and EOL planning is a critical element of Life Cycle logistics.

Here's a diagram to help you.

No lie, when I did LCL with the Marine Corps and Navy, I had that sucker plastered to my wall. Really came in handy when your planning a project.

My friend Wiki tells me
NASA has described JWST as the scientific successor of the Hubble Space Telescope, but not a replacement, because the capabilities are not identical.
So it's a complementary system and not a replacement. Interesting.

What's more interesting is how Cleets doesn't know wtf he's talking about. GTS, Cleets. GTS.

The guy who wrote that article comes off as kind of incoherent. Doesn't really do much to challenge the stereotype of where conservatives are right now after having elected Donald Trump.

And BTW, the election of Donald Trump was not a "democratic outcome." More people voted for Hillary than voted for him. It was an outcome associated with our system; which is not a pure Democracy. You can like that or not like that. But it was not a "democratic outcome."

Do we have any examples of "liberal" politicians physically attacking reporters? I can't think of any but maybe there are some. And, though I know Ivy had questions about where I'm coming from, I'm asking that as a conservative.

Closest thing was one in NC that went after a student reporter about 7 years ago. Wasn't assault, though, and he wasn't charged with anything.

I'll give a college football analogy. Every team has the occasional bad apple that breaks the law. The telling thing is the reaction to these infractions. Most programs discipline appropriately. Some cover up and go to great lengths to keep their players playing (see: Baylor).

I'm guessing you have a hard time refuting quite a few of those. :kisswink:

John Street in Philly came close to it. He was involved in multiple fights in City Council chambers - both against police and against other council members. As a result, he was elected to multiple terms on the City Council and ultimately became a two term mayor of Philadelphia.
