93henfan and Son #2 Do The F1 Canadian Grand Prix

Post by 93henfan »

Had an absolute blast attending the F1 Canadian Grand Prix with my youngest son over the weekend. Weather ranged from mid 70s to low 80s during the three days with no rain. We had incredible seats with a great view of the start/finish line and the Mercedes AMG pit/garage. Our favorite driver Lewis Hamilton of Mercedes AMG won the pole position on Saturday and the race on Sunday, cutting into the lead of F1 points leader Sebastian Vettel of Ferrari. Even got to see Gordon Gekko and Capt Picard. Just a perfect trip from start to finish. Here are several pics/videos from the weekend at the track:

Yep. Had to brush up on my high school French. The Québécois are quite willing to transition to English if you make a small attempt to stumble through frogspeak.

Pens-Preds was on every TV screen we passed on Thursday night. Quite a gathering at the hotel bar. Most were rooting for Nashville, so the mood was quickly dampened in the blowout.

Who were the hot chicks in red dresses? 8-)

Looks like the Frognucks like a good auto race.

Did you plane, train or automobile to get there?
Did they hassle you at the border because you're a Trump supporter?
How many times did you hear someone say "eh"?
What was your favorite poutine spot?
How many Labatts Blue did your kids slam down each day?

Auto
No, but they really didn't like me traveling alone with a kid. "Is he your son?" "No, just some kid I'm trafficking?" Wtf?
None, French say "oo" instead of "eh"
None - I can put gravy on fries here
Only drank one Heineken

Not that I'm aware of. He may have been bird dogging the flag girls incognito up in the Illuminati box that Bill Burr was talking about.
