I'm not holding my breath for anything other than that game you are referencing.89Hen wrote:Quite likely. The Eagles suck worse than the Skins at this point. Don't let 93 and the others tell you differently. As sad as the benchmarks are for the Skins, they did get the road win off their back as well as the two wins a row monkey. Next up is the prime time gorilla on their backs. I hope I'm wrong. I'd love to see a game like that one MNF game a few years back, Vick to DeSean for 90 yards on the first play and the Eagles just piled on the points.andy7171 wrote: I expect you to be even more grumpy and biter after next Sunday.

I did have to go find it. 35-0 after the first play of the 2nd Quarter.

You never know. Maybe DeSean will have another 90 yard TD on the first play from scrimmage this week.
Don't think either teams fans are (or at least they should not be) confident that their team can beat the other this week.

We're not. But they're still the Redskins, so that makes me feel better.tribe_pride wrote: Don't think either teams fans are (or at least they should not be) confident that their team can beat the other this week.
Vegas line is Eagles -3, so pretty much just a home field tip of the hat. Plus Eagles coming off a loss and Skins off a win usually fairs better for the team coming off loss.

See, that's what I'm not sure about. I've relished being in this town with hiring after hiring, trade after trade, signing after signing... and the fans think the Skins are turning the corner only to have the rug pulled out from under their collective feet. Shuler, Spurrier, Gibbs, Shanahan, McNabb, RG3, etc.... Every August the Skins fans are renewed and by November they're on suicide watch. This year just seems a little different and it scares me.93henfan wrote:But they're still the Redskins

Scares you? Nothing in the NFC East should scare anyone. Whoever wins loses their first round playoff game in two and a half weeks anyway.89Hen wrote:See, that's what I'm not sure about. I'm talking long term. The Skins sucking for 20 years has certainly helped the Eagles. Don't need them to become a winning team. They are on average 7-9 the last 20 seasons.93henfan wrote:Scares you? Supreme Court Ruling Is Great For Washington Redskins In Trademark Battle
The law used by the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office to prevent the Washington Redskins from registering trademarks in and relating to the word "Redskins" and the logos used by the team has been ruled unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court. An opinion authored by Justice Samuel Alito states that the law precluding the registration of offensive marks, such as "Redskins," is improper under the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Ruling was unanimous as well, although not all the justices backed the same opinion. I like the ruling - a trademark office that could decide, on a whim, what did or didn't deserve protection because of what it perceived to be offensive would always fail in some instances.HI54UNI wrote:Supreme Court Ruling Is Great For Washington Redskins In Trademark Battle
