Political change requires collective political action. And political parties, for all their faults, provide organization and focus for that action. If you want "progressive" change, kalmie, and you don't support the Donks (generous assumption on my part), organize an effective party that adopts your views.

But Hillary beat Trump in all three debates. I'm talking about both in terms of any reasonable assessment of substance and in terms of public perception among those who won the debates.

Remember, also, that if the Presidential election was just about who gets more votes Hillary would've won.
