I'd say Ossoff did a damn good job considering the district.
In all, left-leaning groups and Ossoff combined for about $2 million more in ad spending than Handel and conservative allies during the runoff phase.
The GOP spent a shit ton of money as well. About $20 million more than they had to spend in November

Re: 2017 Special Elections
New York Times says Ossoff spent a total of $ 31.2 million ($23.6 million campaign funds, $7.6 million other/PAC) while Handel spent $22.7 million ($4.5 million campaign funds, $18.2 million other/PAC). I'd call that a big Donk edge. Times also reports that non-Georgia donors favored Ossoff by huge margin.dbackjon wrote:For both sidesCAA Flagship wrote: *50 million dollars

If Obama was a fell good candidate, what the hell is Trump? He has no Political experience and he won. What what do you call that? Make American Great AGAIN!!!!!!!ASUG8 wrote:Find me a living, breathing, white slave owner in the US. I'll wait.mrklean wrote:

White males: I don't want to be generalized. I did not own any slaves so don't treat me like a devil. But turn around a say, all Muslims are bad or Islam is a bad religion. You can' have it both ways. If Obama would have said Grab her in the Pvssy, he would NEVER EVER been elected as President. AND YOU ALL KNOW THIS TO BE TRUEIt's not a double standard if it doesn't apply to you.
In 2008 you could have run the Oprah/Beyonce ticket and won despite the lack of any political experience. The last two Dem candidates were "feel good" candidates - they weren't the best candidates, but they bucked the "old white men" candidates of old and made the Dems feel good about how they were elevating minorities and women into positions of power. It was all about checking their privelege (still struggling with exactly what that is and why we should feel bad about it) and about checking their tolerance boxes. Meanwhile, fringe Muslims are burning European capitals after their governments decided to open their borders in an effort to appear more tolerant. How's that working out for them?

Re: 2017 Special Elections
I call that a prime example of Americans being sick of career politicians and an incredibly overinflated Democratic party ego believing that their candidate would win despite the scandals. The Demopukes really stepped on their own sack with this election - I could maybe have stomached a Bernie presidency even though he's a socialist, but the Clinton machine has ground to a halt.mrklean wrote:

Klein, you keep making this racial, when it's political...
Obama, Clinton, Biden, are all liberals...different genders, races, but liberal...
It's that simple

Re: 2017 Special Elections
You're talking about a double standard and how white males don't want to be generalized all while you're generalizing them. The reality is that no one wants to or should be generalized. The reality is that I didn't own slaves and as far as I know none of my ancestors did. They came from Europe after the Civil War and settled in Wisconsin and Minnesota. Read through my posts, I've been very clear in my support for making sure that everyone regardless of gender, race, religion, socio-economic status has access to a quality education. While I am completely opposed to the equal outcomes that the Democratic party seems to promote I do want everyone to have an opportunity to improve their life. It is up to the individual to take advantage of their opportunity.mrklean wrote:I'm going to say this. It's only white males who can use the double standard and get away with it.Ibanez wrote: I don't doubt that one bit. Trump tapped into fears and behaviors, some of which should stay in the minority. But the Democrats need to step up and accept their share of the blame. They allowed Trump to win. Democrats are equally guilty for putting Steve Bannon so close to the Oval Office.
White males: I don't want to be generalized. I did not own any slaves so don't treat me like a devil. But turn around a say, all Muslims are bad or Islam is a bad religion. Like Ibanez, I also didn't vote for Trump. He was a horrible candidate (as was Hillary) and I'm not very optimistic about his presidency. I didn't vote for Obama and was disappointed in his presidency as well. Not because of the color of his skin but because he failed to live up to a fraction of what he might have accomplished. Some of that was because of conservative intransigence but some of it was because of his arrogance, that he was more machine politician than reformer, that he depended on Pelosi & Reid too much, etc.

Klean isn't wrong. There are people that voted against Obama and Hillary because of their skin color/gender. That's wrong but it's no worse than those who voted for them for the exact same reason.Col Hogan wrote:Would you vote for Condoleezza Rice or Mia Love?mrklean wrote:

Idiots exist...people argue that one should take and pass training to exercise their Second Amendment right...I'd argue voting without proper preparation and education should be illegal

Not EVERYTHING is because of someone's skin color. Klean, you have to get away from that. Many people don't care what skin color you are. Sure, plenty do. But that's not helping our society progress. A vocal minority cares. Most people don't. Treat me with respect and you'll get the same in return.

Re: 2017 Special Elections
Exactly. The way to stop the generalizing (or most other wrongs) isn't to do it back and use the "but he did it first" excuse but to step up, be a bigger/better person and don't continue it. Set an example. It's not always easy but it's the right way to do things.Col Hogan wrote:So, you've experienced it, but you perpetuate it by generalizing othersmrklean wrote:
