I deleted it because grizalltheway already covered my point about Conks insisting the stock market was "artificially inflated" March '09 to Nov '16.

What's your narrative? That the market decided Obama was good for economic policy... then wasn't sure... then decided he was again?

Only difference between Trump and the worst politicians is that Trump is too lazy and/or stupid to put up even a minimal facade of decency.

I disagree with that assessement. One of the two major Party Presidential candidates in the last election was clearly more dishonest than the other. And it wasn't Clinton.

Where-ever Clinton was on the dishonesty scale, Trump was beyond where she was. He was indeed capable of being more dishonest than she was. And he's continuing his performance in that regard.

Oh you're right about that-

Trump is in your face full of it. He doesnt care if what he is saying is obvious BS that a three year old could detect

and Im convinced that a majority of people who voted for him know what the deal is too

Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, has the ability to make large numbers of people think she ISNT full of sh1t -

and she actually knows how to make government DO THINGS... a skill Trump doesnt yet have

after all, who would have believed that just 15 years after the invasion of Iraq, someone would have been capable of convincing a "pacifist" president that decapitating yet another Arab country was a good idea? And then, instead of a mission accomplished banner on an aircraft carrier, she did what Dick Cheney himself would have preferred to have done.... declared, "We came, we saw, he died!"

That is a very talented, highly skilled full of sh1t right there

I've decided in my own mind which is worse - even though Clitzaurus will scold me (oh my)

how am i defending the guy? Theres no defense here. Ill admit that our government has done nothing since january and I like that (i like it a lot)

for the next four years the government is going to get absolutely nothing done

The democrats have no majority

the Republicans cant get out of their own way and they are afraid that they cant do what Trump wants and get reelected

It is likely the best thing that can happen - that the inevitable expansion of the State actually halts for four years (at least) - and all because Trump is an "indefensible cvnt with sh1t for ideas" and people on both sides of the aisle hate his guts

I have zero faith in our government to actually work for the people, within the constraints set for it. That ship sailed long ago. it is a perpetual motion machine now. Too many people are indoctrinated in the mindset that our government is the only thing separating us from the middle ages. and yet here we are- with some of the most statist liberals in the world, suddenly looking to state and local governments to help them achieve what they used to look to the federal government for - that right there is a wonderful development. It isnt the result of Trump being a good president. its the opposite

Just because i dont engage in all the apocalyptic moaning and histrionics like liberals do doesnt mean im defending the guy. I just dont see him as the end of the world -

Huh? The Clean Water Act is still the law of the land, and Trump or any President couldn't unilaterally change that. What he did do was to begin work on rescinding the Clean Water Rules, or the "Waters of the US" rule that Obama passed and which was a clarification of definitions under the Clean Water Act. They are different things though.

Speaking of drama... you just did some right there

I agree on the defense spending - we could triple our capability just by bringing most of our overseas military home - and we'd save money. But I have consistently said Trump isn't a conservative and he certainly isn't a fiscal conservative (I.e.: when I wasn't faithfully defending him)

But some of that is pure drama worthy of Jon

I'm not going to unpack it all

Has Trump repealed the clean water act? No

Is Trump repealing Dodd Frank? No

I don't know about the coal dumping or pesticide rules. But I know about the federal agency rulemaking process (which is a problem in and of itself) so I'll go out on a limb here and guess that he did the same thing he did with the first two: he signed executive orders telling the respective agencies to reexamine the rules for eventual repeal...

In other words, pure window dressing. If YOU think he repealed these rules, then his supporters definitely do (and he doesn't have to do anything else)

Of course the phrase "Make America Great Again" is based on a false premise as America is and has been great. But let's talk about whether or not Trump has made America greater or less great. Here's a poll on the way the World perceives us:

http://www.pewglobal.org/2017/06/26/u-s ... eadership/

So like, for instance, when Obama was in office 64% of the people around the world had confidence in the US President and now 22% do.

Now, you might say (as Trump zombies probably will) "we don't care what the world thinks!"

But any objective reading of the results yields the conclusion that the United States has lost credibility by virtue of Trump being elected President. And losing credibility is important.

Plus it's justified. One DOES have to question the credibility of a population of people that would do something like elect Donald Trump as President.
