The Palouse is full of dry land wheat and lentil farmers, a few small towns where American flags are flown proudly outside of artisan fromageries and organic sustainable farms, some of the finest wineries anywhere, and a few college towns where liberal professors cast their evil spells. It's also politically red. So yes...VERY kalmunistic. But hellhole? No.
