Now the police chief resigns. Hearing from others that Noor was a nervous person, easy to get riled up. Maybe another example of a person, like the officer in the Castille shooting, that should not have been a police officer.

I just don't get Minnesota. You look at standardized test scores and such and it might be the State with the highest average IQ. Yet you keep seeing ridiculous stuff come from it. Stuff like electing a former professional wrestler as Governor and a Saturday Night Live comedian as Senator.

The police chief always serves at the pleasure of the mayor (or city manager), and the mayor is elected.

So it doesn't matter whether it is the mayor's or the police chief's fault (hint: technically it is both, and they will both be named in the "failure to train" lawsuit) - the mayor is a politician and the chief is not.

That's why I would only take a job as chief of police if I was already financially secure and didn't need the job
