Sorry Chizzy, whoa is a country/rural term reserved for graduates of state schools and smug prick Ivy League elites aren't allowed to use it. And in IT's defense, I believe smug-prickishness is a requirement for graduation from all Ivy League schools with Harvard and Yale competing to see who can matriculate smug pricks of the greatest level.Chizzang wrote:Ivytalk wrote: Yeah, we all favor intersectional directional school graduates to make America great again.![]()
Whoa there,
That's Smug Prick Encroachment Ivy
I'm supposed to be the only smug prick around here
The story is more complicated than that sums a lot of things up nicely. Too many people on both the right and the left are looking to wrap things up in a nice simple package when life is complicated and issues are not so easy to define or resolve.James Damore should probably have used fewer words with high negative emotional indices, when more neutral ones were available. But he was basically making the same point that I am: that women seem to have less interest in working with inanimate objects, and that ignoring this is going to lead to a lot of useless or even counterproductive diversity initiatives.
...
Well, Damore's analysis leans very heavily on the biological explanations, and as persuasive as I find them, I also know that the story is more complicated than that. Sexism is a process, not a level. I think it's probably true that my firm was mostly male because mostly men were interested in doing that kind of work at that level. But as my story also suggests, when a field is mostly guys, it's going to feel less than perfectly comfortable for women unless some pretty heroic efforts are made to counteract all that free-floating testosterone. That may retard both women's career prospects and their interest in joining that field in the first place.

What draws Americans to anarchy?

in NC when liberals moan about gerrymandering you just have to "but NC-12"
The funniest part is that they now try to claim that NC-12 disenfranchises blacks

Democrats won 51% of the House vote. Republicans won 49%
Equitable distribution would be 7 Democratic seats and 6 Republican seats.
Republicans won 9 seats and Democrats won 4.
North Carolina is heavily gerrymandered for Republicans.
NC-12 was redrawn. It looks like this nowCID1990 wrote:nice head fakeSkjellyfetti wrote:

NC-12
Let's see if it gets redrawn and then you can cry about equality of outcomes all you like

Got a chuckle out of this story. Twitter feminists are offended at a new Lord of the Flies movie featuring all women. Because they say that couldn't happen with all women because of something called "toxic masculinity".![]()
I'm guessing these feminists have never been in a work environment with mostly women. Most cutthroat, ruthless, and petty environment I've ever been in. There's a reason women are more likely to prefer male bosses than men are.

They've confirmed the child is hers and now they're trying to determine the circumstances of the birth

Having retired from a government management position I can confidently say most workplace problems result from women being mean and vindictive to other women. I had 2 that would not speak to each other for 15 years because one made a remark about the other one's fingernail polish.Baldy wrote:This. This. This. The Director of the section next to mine is a woman. My boss is a woman. Both have told me, even a couple of my employees have told me that our section is in dire need of a testosterone injection (male employees) to help level out all the **** drama.
JFC, some days I feel like I'm on Real Housewives or something.
