Good, everyone in the real America knows this was another liberal attempt at character assassination of an American hero. Nothing but a hit piece. Good on Donny #MAGA

This was a great thing Trump did. Sheriff Arpaio is a national hero.

Awful. Arpaio is convicted for contempt of court; he flat out refused to follow a judge's order, boastingly admitted it, and goes free?
Whatever though, like Trump and co., he's just another person that'll go down in American history as a terrible person and just a piece of shit in general. That's the only solice I take with this administration and friends: history will be extremely unkind to them all.

Re: Trump pardons Sheriff Arpaio.
The funny thing about him is that even with all the very shady stuff that went on in Arpaio's jurisdiction, it's racial profiling of all things that brought down the judges on him.
I mean, I guess it makes sense. This is America 2017, and racial profiling is worse than child molestation, terrorism, and murder combined.

Re: Trump pardons Sheriff Arpaio.
Arpaio willfully ignored the orders of a federal judge, in direct contradiction of the constitution, and without the advice of the DOJ. Instead of going through the proper channel of appeals, he did what he wanted.CID1990 wrote:I'm going to go out on a limb here and call this selective outrage∞∞∞ wrote:Awful. This is not pardoning after time served or following reform; it's a complete dismissal of the law.
From now on, should I worry about law enforcement completely ignoring the law because they believe in the Almighty Trump? Will he just pardon anyone who blindly stands behind him?

Arpaio is far from a saint and IMO should not have been pardoned but Holder wasn't a saint either.∞∞∞ wrote:Arpaio willfully ignored the orders of a federal judge, in direct contradiction of the constitution, and without the advice of the DOJ. It is interesting and hypocritical how those on the left and right rationalize the actions of political leaders on their "side" while criticizing and calling for criminal prosecution of similar actions by those on the other "side."

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

I'm not a fan of Arpaio, either - personally I don't think he deserved a pardonUNI88 wrote:Arpaio is far from a saint and IMO should not have been pardoned but Holder wasn't a saint either.∞∞∞ wrote: Arpaio willfully ignored the orders of a federal judge, in direct contradiction of the constitution, and without the advice of the DOJ. But let's not have any fresh wakes over the rule of law in this country
That ship has been gone from the dock for several years now -
And it's pretty obvious that triplesquiggly has a graduated scale of when contempt for the law is bad, and when it's not so bad

I'd really like to care but it's becoming more and more difficult at this point.

Isn't Sheriff Airhead retired..?
So what if he gets pardoned
it's not like he's going to go back to NOT prosecuting pedophiles (which he's become legandary for)
The man is going to have to live like a hermit
His life will be in danger - he's not out of prison

That's a two way street. The far right and far left are mirror images of each other. Both like to criticize the other sides faults while failing to realize that they share very similar faults. How hypocritical and obtuse both sides are is humorous and a little frightening.Jjoey52 wrote:Because libs are so caught up in their self righteous stupidity they cannot handle reality.
