As far as they're concerned it's smooth sailing, and why shouldn't they see it that way?

Interesting.
The Securities and Exchange Commission adopted an amendment to shorten trade settlement by one business day. Currently, the standard settlement cycle for these transactions is three business days, known as T+3. The amended rule shortens the settlement cycle to two business days, T+2.
Not sure what prompted this change. Maybe technology, not sure. But day traders are thrilled.

I don't have a problem with most of what Obama did in the first 2 or 3 years of his terms. It was a difficult situation and he did stabilize things. But then he stopped and didn't do enough going forward.

Everybody, especially Ray Nagin and Kanye knows that it was Bush who steered Katrina into New Orleans.

For starters, he could have kept up with the rest of the world and lowered corporate taxes.

Obama said Bush did the right thing as well. I think most Presidents (except a wildcard like Trump) would done it as well. It's not necessarily the right decision or something I agree with... but, it's the shitty decisions Presidents have to make.

By the time the IRAQI war came around, they didn't. Hillary and other Dems voted based on LIES told by BushCheney. Lying seems to come naturally to the GOP

Of FFS, you can't truly believe that shit. Can you????!!! Democrats never lie? Hillary never lied?

I listened to a TED talk ,today, on Political Motive Asymmetry...you immediately came to mind.
What's that? That's what psychologists call the phenomenon of assuming that your ideology is based in love but your opponents' ideology is based in hate. It's common in world conflict. You expect to see this between Palestinians and Israelis, for example. What the authors of this article found was that in America today, a majority of Republicans and Democrats suffer from political motive asymmetry. A majority of people in our country today who are politically active believe that they are motivated by love but the other side is motivated by hate. Think about it. Think about it. Most people are walking around saying, "You know, my ideology is based on basic benevolence, I want to help people, but the other guys, they're evil and out to get me." You can't progress as a society when you have this kind of asymmetry. It's impossible."

The auto bailouts totaled over 80 billion. So I guess the other 63 billion is on Obama. And the taxpayers were never fully repaid.

Unlike the auto bailouts, the banks full repaid their bailouts and then some..

Fannie and Freddie bailouts 187 billion. As of this past April have paid back 266 billion. Huge profit for taxpayers.
