I don't know if you're being sarcastic, but I do it all the time. Liberals tend toward Hamilton and conservatives tend toward Madison.

Eh, overly simplistic. There's things Hamilton is known for (banking, strong executive) that conservatives like, and there's things Madison was known for (proportional representation, enunciated listing of rights) that liberals today like. And of course, there are things that go the opposite way. Hamilton and Madison were more nuanced than just conservative or liberal.

No, "we" didn't. I think it's important to remember that the other major Party candidate got more votes. He got a lower percentage of the overall vote than Mitt Romney did.

We have a system and he won according to the rules of that system. But We, the People, did not elect him.
WE did, I don't California it's not part of the USA. Trump landslided that bitch!

The electoral disparity was a sexist hate crime

that's why I said "tend toward." I didn't say Hamilton was 100% a modern day Donk. Hamilton was arguing for a stronger federal government and Madison was arguing for a weaker federal government. There is nuance there - but, in general, liberals will look toward Hamilton to support their views among the founders and conservatives will look toward Madison.

GannonFan wrote:The electoral disgust with anything considered business as usual in Washington continues. This guy's going to be a Senator - think on that. Trump didn't win entirely because of his Trump brand - he won because of people's intolerance to regular Washington politics. I don't see that abating anytime soon.
