So what's Joe Flacco's next NFL contract going to look like wherever he ends up playing...?
His passer rating is 66
He's already thrown 8 interceptions (Only the Browns rookie QB has thrown more)
He's ranked 24th in passing yards just above Jacoby Brissett who's played in only 4 games
He's thrown only 4 TD passes (No starter has thrown fewer) he's ranked 27th
He's a statue in the pocket with low mobility
and he's getting PAID HUGE PILES OF MONEY

Maybe he can ask Kaepernick for some advice...

Was Kaep ever the highest paid player in the league?

Agreed - he's 32 years old and the Ravens have never done anything to really fix the offensive side of the ball. I couldn't name more than a couple of decent WR's or RB's they've had in that offense since he's been there (Steve Smith and Anquan Boldin when they were both closer to 50 years old, and Ray Rice when he was hitting women). He's got no more than 5 years left in his NFL career anyway, I'm sure he's all broken up about heading into retirement.
I seem to remember the discussion before (prolly from the last 3 posters) about B'more and the fact that they basically were forced to give Flacco his existing contract because of his SB win, but they would end up regretting it....
Well....

How many offensive weapons did they have before they gave him that contract? Again, name me better WR's he's had besides ancient versions of Steve Smith and Anquan Boldin. And how's Ray Rice's replacements been? You're making the case that Baltimore would look different if Joe made less money. I'm making the argument that they've never invested in offensive weapons. I mean, Todd Heap might be the best pass catcher he's ever had there. Let that sink in for a moment.

Remember when Ozzie Newsome and John Harbaugh were "geniuses"... So we were told
Since they were elected Genius 5 years ago they've won 42% of their games

I just know I'm glad the Eagles took Joe Douglas (former Ravens scout) and that he talked the Birds into getting Timmy Jernigan from the Ravens.

Lately Howie Roseman is looking like a god damned genius...
The Blount and Long signings are better than expected
He swung a bunch of deals this off season and WOW...
The Eagles look better than anybody could have predicted

Don't underestimate the Alshon Jeffrey and Torrey Smith signings as well. Those two, with the emergence of Nelson Agholar as the first round WR he was always supposed to be, and all of a sudden there are three NFL-legit WR targets that weren't there last year. Heck, imagine if Joe Flacco had that kind of infusion in one year.

Kelly was there when guys like Ertz, Agholar, Lane Johnson, Jordan Hicks, among others, were drafted. And really, before Kelly got there Howie and Andy Reid had butchered some of their own drafts (look at from 2006 through 2011 - there's a reason why Andy was let go, why performance on the field suffered, and why Howie was sent to the other side of the building). Luckily, Howie seems to have learned a bit from his detention during the Kelly years and had a great draft in 2016 and a pretty decent one here in 2017. Plus, just having the cajones and wherewithal to move all the way up to #2 in 2016 to get Wentz is good enough. Thank goodness the Browns don't believe in drafting franchise QB's and we were able to sneak in there.

Kelly has some great attributes no doubt...
But he shouldn't be running the entire operation

If Joe's wife made what Tom's wife makes, Joe would take a lower contract too.
While you're at it:
If Joe were Tom he wouldn't throw 25 interceptions a year
and he'd have better pocket awareness
and he wouldn't bounce his check-down passes at the running backs feet
He'd look left before throwing right to move the safety instead of starring down his primary
But Joe's not Tom... not even close
But to his credit he does get paid more than Tom
