Make it 116 penalty yards to 1 now. Eagles called for roughing the passer when they bump into Cam on a delay of game where the refs never blew the whistle.

Unreal.

Come on Cam. We all know you have another INT in your system tonight.

That was a terrible series. SMFH. Ertz is such a bonehead sometimes. Didn't block, didn't catch.

I haven't watched a second of the game. I just love it when Cam loses though.

The Eagles have given him a chance to win.

5-1

Eagles beat the Panthers and the officiating crew.

How often has one team been called for ten times as many penalties as its opponent in NFL history?

Jim Schwartz's defense was incredible throughout. O-line got much better as the game went on. Blount was getting chunks of yards on the ground and Wentz had more time to throw as the game went on. The receivers are freaking awesome, as is the QB of course. Kicker was money (even with the sloppy long snap on the first FG ;) ). Good to be an Eagles fan right now. They're a game (maybe two) ahead of where I expected them to be.

Note on last night's game:

First time in NFL history that one team was penalized 100+ yards while the opposing team was penalized less than 10 yards...

I don't particularly like (or dislike) either team
and that was an obvious JOB by the officiating crew...
Well, they can report back that they did everything possible

and yes: Zach Ertz could be NEXT LEVEL good in the NFL if he wasn't so awful at the fundamentals
Like reading and picking up the blitz
Chipping the incoming DE
Understanding cover 2 blitz packages
Knowing what a "Hot read " is

In the middle of his signal call
Brady used to walk over to Gronk and point at the blitzing DB or LB
Wentz is going to have to start doing that for Ertz

Just an awesome win for the Birds. On a mini-bye now, then three straight home games (have played 4 of the first 6 on the road) and then the real bye, and then getting to play Dallas in Dallas without the girlfriend-beating Elliott. Who'da thunk it? And you can hope now that the win last night means getting homefield advantage over the Panthers come playoff time.

With that Defense the Eagletts can cause a lot of problems in the Playoffs
and they are headed to the playoffs

It is funny... and kind of sad
In the Patriots / Seahawks Superbowl
Brady was at the line barking out whatever and stopped
walked over to Gronk and pointed at the weak side linbacker and said something
probably "hey dumb ass quit thinking about your rout into the flats and block him, he's coming"

I'm sure it was something less wordy but getting the blitz coverages right is a HUGE part of quarterbacking

Revisiting the complete biased sham of an officiating performance against the Eagles last Thursday...

This is a four-game trend by Pete Morelli. 40 Eagles penalties to 8 on the opponent. Wowzers:
As NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Dave Zangaro first pointed out, Morelli has called 40 penalties for 396 yards against the Eagles in the last four Birds games his crew has officiated. Against the Eagles’ four opponents, his crew has called just eight penalties for 74 yards.

Longtime referee Ed Hochuli will officiate Monday night’s nationally televised game between the Eagles and Washington, and Morelli’s crew has the week off. In its last four Eagles games, Hochuli’s crew has called 26 penalties against the Birds for 200 yards, vs. 42 penalties against their opponents for 287 yards.

If Hochuli has integrity though, the law of averages is working against us.

Serious question:
What about Washington makes you nervous..?
Because I don't see the Redskins doing very well against the Eagles
