The owner of WBOC was killed riding his bike outside Milford a couple of weeks ago. Sad, but stupid and avoidable. Don’t ride your bike where 3,000 lb+ vehicles are doing 25+ mph. You aren’t special.

The road is for cars. If you want to ride a bike, find a dedicated trail or path. If you must use a road, make sure it’s one with a wide shoulder and get all the way to the **** right. A car should never have to slow down for a bike. We don’t pay billions on roads for bikes. I’m with the fine people of Montgomery County MD! :notworthy:
But, but, but, if you wear a helmet, you are ok and cool?

This.
There are many long bike trails here in STL and yet there are pelotons everywhere on the roads on the weekends. Groups of 30 to 50 pricks dressed like they are in the Tour de White Flag. And they do not obey traffic signs or lights at intersections. My wife cringes when we encounter these assholes. I don't endanger them, but they will hear a horn and see a New Jersey salute if they hold me up.

I miss my 96 TDI. I could roll coal all over them when I passed them. This new TDI I own now is too clean. The tailpipe is still shiny metal after six months of ownership. What fun is that? After the 162k mi warranty is up I’m removing all the emissions bullshit.

Actually Slaughter Beach Road in that part of Milford does have a wide shoulder and is reasonably straight and flat and rural - sounds like a pretty good road for sharing. Of course, at 7:30 in the morning heading east the sun could've been a factor...

Listen, man. That exact segment of SB Rd is where I do my data logging for pulls on my 4-banger turbos. I do 130+ pretty regularly through there. Its a perfect flat straight stretch past Wells Rd and the only concern is braking enough before you hit the little crabbing bridge (essentially a ramp if you’re still over 75 or so).

It’s no place for bikes!

There are way too many bike groups around here and you can see one or two of the groups every day and a couple at night. Most ride single file and line the road for about a mile but there are a couple groups that will take up the entire road. I applaud them for having the balls to wear those outfits with enormous beer guts but respect the road for what it is.

Lil CCU has heard me bitch enough that when she sees them she yells, " MOVE!"

That's illegal in some states (unless it's marked off as a temporary race).

Some douchenozzlesuckoid riding in a pack got killed here a year or so ago, so the popo have actually been enforcing this law around here. It's all country roads where the bikers ride, so they do as much as they can I guess. There are signs around the county and they occasionally do radio/newspaper announcements and the like. I've seen a few bike groups pulled over, which is a funny sight to see

 There's one group of 3 guys that have the whole get up but I don't think they take it seriously because they do is meander up and down the road, talking and listening to music. I honestly think they ride to avoid their families.

Saipov, 29, came to the United States from Uzbekistan through a Diversity Visa Program lottery in 2010, making him a legal permanent resident of the United States upon arrival. He has lived in Ohio, Florida and, most recently, Paterson, N.J., where federal agents interviewed Saipov in 2015.

:thumb: Funny how we always get a late start and the course is backed up and I'm usually on the 12th hole when I should be on 18.

BTW, hit that one with a 6 iron two weeks ago. 8-)
