Catholics Vs Convicts
Re: Catholics Vs Convicts
ND has won four straight, dating back to 1990.
ND opens as a 3.5 point favorite, but I'm going with the Convicts to spoil.

After the Hens there's no college team I root for more than the Irish. I'm hoping Adams is fine and Notre Dame continues to steamroller teams. I'm not sure which game is going to be harder - this one against Miami or the season ender against Stanford. Miami has played a ton of close games against teams that aren't all that good, so I think Notre Dame wins this one and then the real struggle comes against a Stanford team that's hard to run against. Oh, and Navy is sandwiched in between these games, but I think ND handles them this year.

I do give ND credit for being indy but still booking decent SOS. Temple and Navy is a lot more formidable than Fresno and Mercer (looking at you, Alabama).

I see it as a win-win.ASUG8 wrote:

If Miami loses, we're one step closer to a playoff where 3 of the power 5 conferences will be left out.

41-8 and losing to a lower ranked team...yikes. That'll hurt.

Oh well, it was not meant to be. Miami might just be that good. Hopefully ND finishes out strong - still have Navy and Stanford to wrap things up - and still plays on Jan 1, just not in the playoff.
