Delaware has D1 (large schools) and D2 (small schools). The cutoff is around 1100 students. Biggest school is William Penn (upstate) with ~2,100. Laurel is smallest with ~500.

It cracks me up every time you say upstate, etc. 4 1/2 Delawares could fit in my county alone. 10 Delawares could fit into the county Flagstaff is in.
and four Delawares could fit in your moobs

Gives new meaning to "a long bus ride home".
On Saturday night, Glendive upset Laurel for its first playoff victory in 22 years. Now the Red Devils will get to experience one of the other things that playoff football in Montana has to offer: an incredibly long road trip.

Glendive will travel 610 miles one way to face Hamilton in the Class A quarterfinals, a trip that Google Maps calculates will take approximately nine hours in a car, which will be even longer by bus.

On the east coast, that road trip would be the equivalent of driving from Washington D.C. to Maine while passing through 10 separate states.

The Red Devils’ trip is not the only massive journey in Class A. Defending champion Dillon is set to head 525 miles to Sidney, while Miles City heads 530 miles the opposite direction to Columbia Falls.

Toms River South (good guys) beat Toms River North (bad guys) 21-14 in the 46th edition of the "Civil War".
South leads the series 25-21-1. The game is part of the Great American Rivalry Series (100 matchups across 40 states).

Tokay 19, Lodi 14.

Lodi led 14-12 with about three minutes left, then inexplicably went into prevent-mode on defense, thereby giving Tokay their easiest chunks of yardage of the entire game, culminating with the game-winning touchdown with less than two minutes left. The Flames offense failed to live up to the challenge despite two big plays getting us close.

The game was marred by Tokay's unethical blatant use of sideline video (technically legalized this past spring by NFHS Rule 1.6.1.2). That harsh judgment (strictly my personal opinion, of course) derives from the rule regarding voice communications between the field and the box and between the coach and the quarterback/defensive signal caller, which explicitly states that if one team's system malfunctions (or they simply don't have a system), the other team must IMMEDIATELY turn theirs off. I think NFHS should SERIOUSLY consider amending this rule to mirror the headset rule. It would be a whole lot more fair. Additionally, the game was a nightmare for Lodi fans given the fact that this season, the stadium authority blocked off the visitors sideline, forcing BOTH sides to share the home stands. Sections of the stands are enforced; we share the stadium, so for Lodi home games, Lodi athletics staff tapes printed papers designating sections, while Tokay used colored tape. The rivalry game this year was a Tokay home game, so Lodi was the visitors. When rain threatened, the Tokay coaching staff moved a rather large tent, previously in a gap in the stands separating Lodi fans, to cover their precious video system, thereby blocking the sightline directly in front of the main body of Lodi fans, completely ignoring the MOVE THAT TENT chant. They didn't move it, apparently, until they found out about a Facebook backlash. Combine that with the Tokay seniors, who stood on the bleachers six rows deep, thereby blocking Lodi views of the west end zone AND the scoreboard, along with the throwing of empty Gatorade bottles into the Lodi section and the dropping of F-bombs with women and children around made for a very BAD time for all.

That said, whatever one's feelings about Tokay's use of video, THAT wasn't why Tokay won and Lodi lost. It all goes back to the bogus coaching decision to lay 20-30 yards off the receivers. That killed us last week on Senior Night against nationally-ranked Stockton-St. Mary's, and it finished us off THIS week in a game as big as DAL-WAS, NYY-BOS, UM-MSU, and SAC-UCD.

Hey Ivy, my hood is back at Delaware Stadium:
Delmar is a beast. We’ll be huge underdogs, though Delmar can’t like having to try to beat us a second time. Dennard of Delmar scored 8 TDs in the other semi. Has to be a record for playoffs or close to it. Got to get to his knees early.

No. They sucked this year. It's been a long time since they were good. Just can't seem to get good players in consecutive classes for the last 15 years or so. Strong program in 60's, 70's, 80's, and 90's though.
