Just heard on the news that Lauer had a button installed under his desk that would lock his office door.

Yeah, I'm not trusting of that story.
I haven't seen anyone say that the door would lock from the inside.
It's not uncommon for remote door closing/locking in corporate offices.
But if it locked from the inside, that would be messed up.
