I’m going with Kaepernick.
Honorable mention: Kim Jong Un, Mueller
I doubt they go back-to-back with The Donald.

Stop voting anonymously, cowards. State your choice and reasoning. Stand and be recognized.
Kaepernick has been instrumental in stirring up all kinds of negro and general antifa-type angst for two years now. And he has a killer ‘fro.

Bezos because fuck yeah Amazon Prime. The gift that keeps on giving.
Also because some of those options aren't a person.
Also because I hope my pick upsets someone here.

Dumbest pick ever. Well, until somebody picks Patty Jenkins or the Crown Prince.bandl wrote:Bezos because fuck yeah Amazon Prime. The gift that keeps on giving.

You lose.
I do love Prime though.

I see Donald Trump has voted twice already.

Re: TIME’s 2017 Person of the Year Poll
I voted for President Trump. He has...by far...been the most influential person this year. He's completely redefined the Presidency, redefined America's influence on the global stage, magnified the social and economic divides between Americans, and reshaped an entire political party. And that's just the major points.
Of course whether you view him as good or bad is dependent, but there's zero doubt he's the most influential person this last year.

You’re correct, but I think they’ll change it up since he won last year.∞∞∞ wrote:I voted for President Trump. He has...by far...been the most influential person this year. Somebody voted for #MeToo and that’s not a bad pick. It definitely won November. Not sure about the rest of the year though.

Re: TIME’s 2017 Person of the Year Poll
They should just go ahead and give Trump the nod for the next 3 years - as long as he's President everything, rightly or wrongly, will revolve around him. They should just be honest and call the award the second person of the year and then it can be anything other than Trump. Crazy times.

Trump by the landslide that the pundits thought Hillary was going to win by.
And I had to google Patty Jenkins.

I'd vote for the Houston Astros. They came out of nowhere to win the World Series.

The only way I can relate is when I have one of those horrible dehydration shits. It tears me up pretty good and I feel it for maybe 20 minutes and then I’m fine.

If Kaepernick wins it, it just shows the award is political, much like the Nobel Peace Prize.
Gotta be Bezos or #metoo. #metoo is potentially really dangerous for those of us not rich and powerful, but can't deny its power for sure.

Re: TIME’s 2017 Person of the Year Poll
I indicated Trump because, as I understand it, it's simply a matter of asking who has had the most impact. It can be a negative impact. It can be a positive impact.
It's kind of like if you ask a person who was diagnosed with cancer this year what the most important thing that happened to them this past year was. What impacted their life the most? Obviously it was being diagnosed with cancer.

What did Bezos do different this year than every other year since the late 1990s? Amazon has been a game-changer for a couple of decades now.Pwns wrote:If Kaepernick wins it, it just shows the award is political, much like the Nobel Peace Prize.
