It's gonna be a long basketball season in Weberville.
Re: 12/5 Scores
Hall has been fighting an ankle injury for a while. Seemed like the coach shut him down once we were getting steamrolled in the game. Pretty sure Hall only played about 11 minutes in the game (started game missing two easy lay-ups and a open jumper). Hall went on Twitter after the game and apologized to the game of basketball for his performance...Feel sorry for the next team he plays against.Mvemjsunpx wrote:

Question:
Is there something of a BSC-WCC Challenge going on this month? Sac just played cheap-shotting Saint Mary's, while UOP recently played Northern Colorado. Is the same thing going on around the conference?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

Portland State finishes up their WCC schedule tonight at Santa Clara. They are currently 2-0 against the WCC, having beaten Portland and Loyola Marymount. They then play two Pac-12 opponents on the road, Oregon and Cal, sandwiched around a home game against Linfield.SuperHornet wrote:Question:

Better than playing the likes of Portland Bible over and over again.

Not officially, but the Big Sky typically plays a lot of WCC schools for obvious geographic reasons (and Big West, and WAC, etc.).SuperHornet wrote:Question:

Eh… the Big Sky still ranks 18th. in the RPI (according to realtimerpi), which is its best ranking in several years.kalm wrote:Way to go Big Sky!
Also: the Big West ranks 12th., with Davis & UCSB both in the top-40. Davis is actually in the top-50 for both MBB & WBB.

Re: 12/9 Scores
Portland State just completed their WCC swing, going 3-0 all on the road. OLive mentioned that the Viks RPI is currently at 63 (I had to get this from a list of the Ducks next 10 opponents, no Viking recognition from OLive, of course). Viks take a foray into Pac-12 land with games at Oregon and Cal, but they are currently 1-0 against the Pac-12, winning against Stanford in the PK80.kalm wrote:Way to go Big Sky!Mvemjsunpx wrote:

Hornets have had nothing but road games so far with our only "true" home games being against playdown teams. We do have a winnable game against Northridge this week. We also get UCSB in The Nest this month as well.
