There are a few. At $15/hour plus tips they're making over $30K/year. That's enough to afford rent and upgrade the long board.

Heck, full time (40 hrs a week) at $15 an hr is over 30k without tips..

Nonsense. We'll skip over that generation and wait until the generation that are the offspring of the Millinneals (assuming Millenneals take on parenthood - depends on how big the parent's basement really is) - now there's a generation that has the deck stacked against them.

For an establishment place buying coffee in bulk MAYBE 50 cents worth of ground coffee per gallon of coffee brewed. For a Sheetz/Royal Farms/Wawa/Dunkin etc, with a 20 oz disposable cup and the average creamer/sugar, etc used per customer it might cost the store around 15-20 cents. So an at least 1000% profit margin is good enough..
