Not recently. We'll see what happens in 2018. I think that if the elections were held today the Democrats would take control of the House and the Republicans would maintain control of the Senate. I also think that the United States currently has a President that most people in the United States do not want as President and who most people never wanted as President.
In any case, in the long run, the future looks bright for the Democrats and dim for the Republicans.
