Super Bowl LII - Patriots vs Eagles

I saw one of these with North Dakota rooting for New England, based on betting line. I doubt this is very indicative of the actual fans choice.

I think Philly gets the lead early and the defense doesn't let this one go like Jacksonville, Seattle and Atlanta.

Having listened to a week of sports radio in Philly since the NFCCG, there really is a quiet confidence in the Eagles winning the game, including several guest columnists from other cities such as NY, DC, LA, Dallas, etc. The consensus is that the Patriots have the better QB and TE, but the Eagles are better at every other position on the field. The Eagles are also loose, as they've been underdogs to win a single playoff game since Wentz went down 7 weeks ago. A typical underdog going to play the "big, bad Patriots" would be tight and pooping down their legs a little, but not these Eagles. They're going to Minnesota to sling one right into Goliath's forehead.

That are better at every position except QB and TE

I know more people that think the Eagles win than otherwise...
And everybody knows the Eagles are more talented - even somebody picking the Patriots

You just knew it would come down to Eagles versus Patriots in a season when the NFL is concerned about kneeling during the national anthem.

I voted for NE, but I think the Eagles win (now that I typed that not really sure why I voted for NE, maybe because of last year that has zero bearing on this year). NE isn't as potent as they usually are on offense, and I think the Eagle D just rapes Brady all game long.

Good SB matchup though, hoping the commercials don't suck as bad as they have the last few years.

Eagles defense is nowhere near what Brady faced against the Jags. Eagles have nobody that can cover Gronk.

If the Patriots can spread out and disect the best defense in the NFL they will dismember the Eagles D.

Had a Lift driver pick us up at the airport. Said they are authorized to raise their rates Super Bowl weekend. Only a select few Uber/Lift drivers were selected for the Super Bowl. They had to go thru security training and all that stuff. Most of the press and ticket holders are going to be staged at the Mall of America and take the light rail 16 minute straight shot to the game, no stops. That means no train service for the general public that day.

I don't see the whole David-Goliath thing. The Eagles were viewed all year the best team in football all season until Wentz's injury.

It's all good, adds to the underdog motif, and at the same time Minnesota fans get exposed as sore losers. I agree, the Minnesota Nice is more myth than reality.
