Philly fans getting butt hurt over Minnesota fans' butt hurt is humorous. I love Philly but the fans are closer to Raider fans than your average partially civilized fanbase. Stop being snowflakes.
And any Minnesota fan who has gone to a Wisconsin Badgers game has experienced some serious language.

LeGarrette Blount beats Rob Gronkowski in Madden 18 in the buildup to the Super Bowl. Blount had the Eagles win 33-13. Apparently the Pats haven't moved into fixing video games yet, still on Bellichick's bucket list though.

93 does have a thing for originality and humor, so you're correct, when presented with stuff that is neither original nor humorous he does get triggered. I think we all feel for him.Ibanez wrote:Triggered...93henfan wrote:

I've found I'm getting more hostile to fans of other teams as we edge closer and closer to Sunday. I was on full tirade this morning with all the stupid Skins fans that think the Alex Smith trade was a winner. Funny how none of them remember how excited they were when they got McNabb from Andy Reid (also 33 years old).

Redskins fans were undoubtedly excited by the prospect of beating one of their top rivals with one of their homegrown legends. It had been at least three decades since a quarterback had brought that much excitement to D.C.

Re: Super Bowl LII - Patriots vs Eagles
I like the Eagles chances more every day to be honest. I keep hearing the Patriots will try to counter the Eagles DL depth with tempo. If you have 5 guys running at tempo all day & the Eagles still rotating 8, I just see the Eagles wearing them down. I think Brady will get hit quite a bit on Sunday & if there's one thing I've learned about him watching over two decades is he doesn't like to be hit period. The earlier the Eagles can set that tone the better.
The only part of the Eagles game that worries me is special teams, it has honestly since they lost Maragos. I think Elliott kicking the ball int the end zone like he did in the NFC Champ is key, & it's indoors so that should help. I'd love to see Barner do something really positive Sunday - this is where losing Sproles hurts.
I can't wait to see America's reaction to the Eagles coming out to Meek Mill on Sunday night, which they announced they're doing again yesterday. The whole team was dancing to it on the field before the Vikings blowout.

Re: Super Bowl LII - Patriots vs Eagles
NFL Network replayed SB 39 on Tues night and it really reinforced the difference between the Andy Reid and Doug Pederson teams.
Under Andy, the team was always tight and usually underachieved. His playcalling was vanilla, his halftime adjustments were ineffective, and his clock management was historically bad. I didn't even realize that NFLN was showing the game, and when I surfed to the channel, McNabb was under center and I immediately got a knot in my stomach, wondering how he was going to fuck up next. He promptly threw his first of three interceptions two snaps later.
You get the opposite feel with this Pederson team. You're sitting there watching them, seeing guys loose, smiling, with swagger and you're wondering how the hell they just keep doing bigger and better things. Actually, you're not wondering. You just know that they're better coached, and that the team was built with chemistry in mind. Reid was always trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole. Dougie, cuts off those rough edges. (do I get the cliche award?
)
Reid didn't even get to a Super Bowl until after a loss in the divisional round to the Giants in 2000, Rams in 2001 NFCCG, and two soul-crushing home NFCCG losses in 2003 (Bucs) and 2004 (Panthers). You always were waiting for Reid and McNabb to choke. Pederson, conversely, has the team winning as underdogs, with great gameplanning and terrific in-game adjustments. They're balling in the big game with half the team on IR in season two of the rebuild. Refreshing.

Agreed, but he did seem to pull out a trick play or an onside kick out of nowhere every once in a while. Maybe that's why they worked, because they were so rare.93henfan wrote:Under Andy, the team was always tight and usually underachieved. Re: Super Bowl LII - Patriots vs Eagles
Honestly - after Wentz left, I thought the Eagles were finished for the season. But the team has truly rallied. I hope they can keep the pressure on Brady - make him uncomfortable and force him to make mistakes.
And whatever Foles did or was told that turned him into a different player once he assumed the top QB spot - I hope he keeps it up. I'd love nothing more than to see Brady be denied another ring.

Yep, two weeks is too long between CG's and the Super Bowl.
I was just catching the (I think) fourth press conference of the week with Doug Pederson. They actually just asked why he serves the team ice cream after practice sessions.
Seriously?
Btw, his answer: because they like it.

I think the two weeks are necessary with all the BS that goes on, including the players having to set up tickets for family and friends. But the SB should be on Saturday.93henfan wrote:Yep, two weeks is too long between CG's and the Super Bowl.
