Most NFL players are black. I say move MLK Day.

No wait. Aren't a lot of them named Washington, Adams, Jefferson, Jackson, Harrison...etc... too?

I don't see him being a factor honestly...
I see the Patriots passing to the running backs and short dump off passes
like they did against the Seahawks

Now... If the Eagles cover him with a linebacker... (which won't happen) but if it does (but it won't)

Yes, they will try to counter the Eagles’ pressure with quick passes (their MO against good defenses). That still doesn’t mean Gronk won’t get the last catch on the final play of the game. :o

Many people are looking at the Pats offense. Belichick game up thru the defensive ranks. Just might be the Pats defense that decides this game, instead of the GOAT.

For the uninitiated, Wing Bowl is a Philadelphia buffalo wing-eating competition originally conceived by 610 (now 94.1) WIP SportsRadio's morning team to help distract Philadelphians from the fact the Eagles would never make the Super Bowl. :D

I'm sure glad there's half a month between the CCG's and the Super Bowl.

It's not like the Eagles had any momentum going or anything.

But seriously, this wait is fucking killing me.

Brady’s predicting two more Super Bowls then retirement:
“Two more Super Bowls,” Brady told Gisele.

“I mean, he can have as many Super Bowls as he likes,” Gisele responded immediately to the camera.

I'll be on an airplane during the entire Super Bowl... but anyway:

That's ^ certainly one way to get your Tight End covered by a linebacker
Wait until the defense is in a 3 or 4 linebacker scheme
and then switch to no huddle so they can't get out of it

But most teams when playing the Patriots NEVER actually get out of their Nickle or Dime packages
The exception being goal line situations of course...

The Dolphins beat the patriots late this season with over 50% of snaps in Dime configuration
4 down linemen
1 pure Linebacker
5 Corners
1 Safety within 10 yards of the Line of Scrimmage

The Cardinals play this defense pretty much as a standard set against any team that passes a lot

Good morning, football fans! Today is the day.
It’s okay if you don’t like Philly, because Philly probably doesn’t like you.

That doesn’t mean we can’t be on the same side for a day, though.

On Super Bowl Sunday, the majority of the country will stand united behind the Philadelphia Eagles; many of you will do so grudgingly, having chosen what you see as the lesser of two evils. Sometimes you need to form troubling alliances in defense of the greater good.

And have no doubt that the Eagles, who last won a championship in 1960 (and have never won a Super Bowl), are the greater good here...

20 minutes later she'll go to the bathroom and become a "Screaming Eagle" as 501 wings exit her in 6.93 seconds.

Smaller local airports are really busy this weekend. Rich and famous flying in for the big game on their private jets. Average Joe is attending the free events, like the ESPN set in the IDS tower, people watching at the Maul of America, etc. Tickets down to $2600 on the street. That's cheaper than a lot of the Super Bowl events. NFL experience was a reasonable $35, but then you add in the big event parking and it adds up for a family event. Not the same event I attended at Super Bowl XXVI, 26 years ago.

Stand-up team: No Philadelphia Eagles players knelt for national anthem in 2017
Sports Pundit study shows New England Patriots had 17 incidents

If you’re planning to watch the Super Bowl but you can’t stand the NFL take-a-knee protests, you may want to root for the Philadelphia Eagles.

Not a single Eagles player sat or knelt during the national anthem, one of just seven teams with perfect non-kneeling records, in a season that saw 684 such incidents, according to a study released Thursday by Sports Pundit.

The other Super Bowl LII team, the New England Patriots, landed in the middle of the pack with 17 incidents of anthem sitting or kneeling, wedged between the Buffalo Bills with 16 and the Cleveland Browns with 20.

Still, neither of the Super Bowl teams was in any danger of catching the leader: the Seattle Seahawks, which easily scored the most episodes of sitting or kneeling with 156, followed by the San Francisco 49ers with 110.

Both of those teams play in the NFC West. Oddly enough, the division’s other two teams — the Arizona Cardinals and Los Angeles Rams — had zero take-a-knee protests.

The remaining teams with no players sitting out during the anthem were the Chicago Bears, Dallas Cowboys, Minnesota Vikings and New York Jets.

Black Lives Mater protest is blocking the light rail for Super Bowl fans.

Activist groups protest against police brutality, corporate greed and racism to downtown Minneapolis before kickoff of the Super Bowl.

Protesters formed a human blockade Sunday afternoon across light rail tracks near U.S. Bank Stadium, where Super Bowl LII was scheduled to kick off early in the evening.

This action is one of a handful of others planned by activists in downtown Minneapolis decrying "police brutality, corporate greed and racism."
