It's very much about the entire performance rather than just the songs.
You missed the point. The point was that it's totally possible to sing, play an instrument and move around. I've never been, but I bet when he was with n*Sync, he sang and danced. It's a skill. Singing and dancing is a skill. Otherwise, all those folks on Broadway are con artists.
Gene Kelly could do it.

Of course it's possible (Lady Gaga and Pink are great examples of it). But even Broadway artists, as talented as they are, don't typically have the high-powered choreography...song-after-song...that pop artists have to deal with. And Broadway also spreads the performances among many artists, rather than just one.

Pop/hip-hop is a different animal in how physically intensive it can get. So I personally can't blame an artist for lip syncing it. Madonna/MJ were infamous for it and they're essentially music royalty (deservedly so).

I don't blame the artist. I questioned the logic that the reason for lip syncing is b/c singing and dancing is tough. They are professionals...they professionally sing and dance. It shouldn't be a problem whether it's 3hrs at Madison Square Gardens or 15 minutes during the middle of a game.

Didn't watch. Had to text one of my EC(b) operatives to let me know that the coast was clear to turn back to the channel.

Agreed. If someone is going to lip sync and fake play instruments, then why even go out there? Just put out sets of speakers.

Yeah some people like to watch lyp syncing, fake playing of instruments, and dudes doing faggity dancing. Different strokes for different folks.

"Timberlake rocks"?

I'm sure JT is a nice dude and he's an avid golfer which gives him some cred in kalm's book. Did you know that one song about looking in the mirror was written for his wife (who is smoking hot btw)? For their wedding? I do. My wife reminds me every **** time he's on the radio or TV like last night.

I get that music is a personal thing. Like when my oldest (god bless his soul) makes fun of my youngest and the wife for listening to "chart music" like JT and Bieber. I took a dump during last night's performance but I'm sure it was great if you're in to choreographing, people pretending to play an instrument, and techno/hip hop ballads that make young girls cry.

Just to help you out...here's a few examples of things that "rock"....

Stop it, you're acting like an old dude. Upset over me using the word "rocks"? Whatever. JT is the man - the dude can write, sing, act, marry a gorgeous wife, and he's funny as well. You were probably one of those guys who had no idea what song the Eagles came out to (it was a Meek Mills song) but were strangely aroused when the Patriots came out to the tired tripe of "Crazy Train" (and yes, "Crazy Train" is tired - not only is it almost 40 years old, but they used it for commercials for Honda Pilots. Because it's old).

I don't know that I've ever watched a halftime show. I remember MJ appearing up on top of the stadium or something, but that was like 25 years ago.

I like what ATL uses - T.I. Bring 'Em Out. It gets you jazzed more than some trope like Welcome to the Jungle or Crazy Train. Carolina uses a montage of 90s rock, including Smells Like Teen Spirit and then Bodies by Drowing Pool.

With the Eagles up 10 at the half and ultimately a win, him making armpit farts for 30 minutes would have been fine with me.
