You were probably one of those guys who had no idea what song the Eagles came out to (it was a Meek Mills song) but were strangely aroused when the Patriots came out to the tired tripe of "Crazy Train" (and yes, "Crazy Train" is tired - not only is it almost 40 years old, but they used it for commercials for Honda Pilots. Because it's old).

He is indeed all of those things, but he doesn’t “rock”. His music is cheesy bubble gum R&B with a little hip hop mixed in. Now get off my lawn!

I like Springsteen, gives a great concert and such. But he's not everyone's cup of tea, and since he's closing in on 70 years of age, a good portion of the under 40 crowd are not really Springsteen fans. Old people need to realize that they are getting old and it's quite possible they are an ever decreasing percentage of TV's target audience.

Well, I'm not that old myself, and frankly, I'm only 8 years older than Justin Timberlake so it's not like he's super young. With that said, there is plenty of stuff that you hear at the Grammy's and other music awards that I just don't like, probably because I am old (like techno stuff - I really don't get that). Thankfully, I won't have to complain about that at the Super Bowl for another 10-20 years or so when I really will be old.

I'll admit that I don't remember it but in reviewing Youtube stuff came away thinking at least one song from the 2001 Super Bowl halftime show was pretty good. It was one where a bunch of Pop Stars plus a rap guy wrapped around Aerosmith to perform "Walk this Way."
