Privately, I texted Flaggy my prediction before the game, which was:

“I say the Eagles win something like 30-24, sweating that last Brady drive.”

I also said that the best bet of any was the OVER.
I put $20 bucks down in Vegas for the Eagles to win by between 7-12 points - 7-1 odds.

Good call!

My neighbor that placed the bet for me also bet the Eagles to win by 9 - 75:1 odds. Oh so close.

Boston is doing some soul searching this morning. :coffee:
Thats why Belichick is the greatest coach in NFL history. He owes nobody an explanation for doing his job.

Nobody will question him when he wins it all again next year because they are still the best team in the NFL by a long shot

Eagles didn't play scared against Patriots. New England is more legend than actually great this year. The legend status, caused other teams and coaching staffs to wilt at the end of games. Eagles played aggressive and took the game to the Patriots.

The best team usually wins in baseball, basketball and hockey.

Rarely do they win in the NFL

Eagles were the best team. Won the Super Bowl with a back up QB. They were the #1 seed in the NFC and beat the #1 seed from the AFC.

The Saints were playing the best football at the end of the year.

Eagles may be the worst team to ever win a Superbowl.......close call with the Ravens

Saints finished the season 3-3 in the last 6 games. Lost to the Vikings early in the season and in the playoffs. Philly slaughtered the Vikings. Saints lost to the Rams, whom the Eagles beat, split with the Falcons, whom Eagles beat, and lost to the Bucs.

Saints did have a nice win streak after losing to the Patriots. Their wins included Green Bay, Miami, Detroit, Bears Bucs, Redskins and Bills. Panthers were the best win during that streak. I don't see myself calling the Saints the best team.

Was only 1 car flipped over? Everything video I've seen is the same car. I honestly thought there would be more..

This is a pretty good compilation. It has the car being flipped, the guy eating horse shit, the Ritz awning collapse, the one convenience store being looted, one of the fires, few light poles being torn down, the mass size of the crowd, etc..

Yup, 100k to 200k people, mostly having consumed alcohol for at least 4 hours and mostly in their late teens and 20's, spontaneously party on Broad Street over something like 20-30 city blocks, and all that happens is an awning collapses, 2 or 3 traffic lights get damaged, a single car gets flipped over, and a store window gets broken. And most of the folks who did those things videoed themselves doing it and are being brought in. All in all, pretty tame. The parade should be a good time.

Three arrests in that violent mob of hundreds of thousands.

Its was more than 2-3 traffic lights..
"..And by the end of the night, nearly all of the light poles on the east side of City Hall had been toppled..."

It wasn't just 'a store window'. Macy's alone had multiple windows broken.

I agree it wasn't that bad considering the circumstances, but it was enough to be all over the national media (& even some international). I was actually expecting it to be worse.
