Stroke me, stroke me
Give me the reason this is all night long
Stroke me, stroke me
(Stroke)
Stroke me, stroke me
Get yourself together boy
Stroke me, stroke me
Say you're a winner but man you're just a sinner now
(Stroke, stroke, stroke, stroke, stroke, stroke, stroke)
Better listen now
Said it ain't no joke
Don't let your conscience fail ya'
Just do the stroke
Don't ya' take no chances
Keep your eye on top
Do your fancy dances
You can't stop you just
Turns out I might be a little gay. 89Hen 11/7/17

I'm actually really curious to see what joker the Dems march out since I'm sure candidates from both parties will only continue to get more ridiculous and polarizing going forward

Actually I'm even more curious to see what the Conks do in 2024...

If Biden is still alive he's got the inside track to be the Dem nominee. Sanders is tainted goods now that his Russian backing has come to the surface (who'da thunk it that Mueller's indictment a few weeks ago would've ended up hurting Bernie the most?), Warren doesn't look up for it, and there's almost literally no one else. Biden by default. Watching him and Trump debate will be fun - somebody could actually throw a punch in that debate.

To expand on that, Harris has no shot in hell. The Dems would be stupid to run a traditional candidate against Trump. Biden is probably the only person that could run and potentially win. But they don't have a deep bench. I can't think of any governors that would be good candidates.

How many allegations were made against Trump? Didn't hurt him any. Of course his base is a bit different.

Sweet Jesus. Biden is ALREADY 75. Do we really need another octogenarian in the WH?

The Democratic base looked the other way with the Clinton Foundation and decades of rank corruption, so neither side is really clean as a whistle when it comes to backing candidates of questionable character. Bigger picture stuff like that doesn't matter in Presidential elections anymore - it's really just between the two candidates and who people like/detest least of those two.

Nah, people are too partisan now. They'll move their own personal goalposts to accommodate whoever their "side" picks. The Donks could go with Michael Moore or the right could put up Rush Limbaugh and people would only become more entrenched because of it

Whether frothing at the mouth White Nationalists can eek out one more Electoral College victory while losing the popular vote or not, it's going to soon be over for their movement in historical terms.

If the Democrats can come up with any kind of candidate at all they'll win in 2020. But they may not. It's kind of like the Republicans with Clinton. When it came time for Clinton to run for re-election the Republicans came up with Bob Dole.

Barack Obama, were he eligible to run, would've blown Trump out last time and if he were eligible to run in 2020 he'd blow Trump out. But he's not an option.

But you never know. Another thing about looking at Bill Clinton is that you can see that at this point of George H.W. Bush's administration there was no way to anticipate the Democrats coming up with somebody who could win in 1992.

I voted against Obama both times but he was a hell of a lot more qualified for the job than the current President is. And I say that even though I did say when he first got elected that he wasn't qualified for the job.

But there are different degrees of being unqualified. We're at the extreme in that regard right now.

Trump got a lower percentage of the popular vote than Romney did. It's not that he inspired a greater proportion of the people to vote FOR him. It's that a combination of factors pushed people away from voting for Clinton.

Yep. In the summer-fall of 2020 we would have a 74 yr old Trump (71 now, 6/14 birthday) debating a 77 year old Biden. Biden if elected would be 78 years on inauguration day 2021, the oldest to ever enter office by far. No president has even left office at that old..

Inauguration day 2025 leaving office:
Biden if elected and still alive would be by far the oldest POTUS ever at 82 years, 2 months.
Trump if reelected & still alive would be the oldest POTUS ever at 78 years, 7 months.

Reagan left office at 77 years, 11 months.
