Minnesota wasn't banking on having a welcome party at which the guest of honor didn't show up. Seems #1 pick Ricky Rubio is still in Spain, and the twists and turns remind one of the Sanford Affair.
Any ideas? What gives?

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

well...
Part of it is his contract issue with the Spanish club...
part of it is his father is PISSED that he slipped to 5th, and so won't make top 2 or 3 money
part of it (and what is raising eyebrows in MN) is what sounds like griping about size of the market he's headed to... we had this with Stephon Marbury 10 years ago... and fans here have no patience for it, and are hyper-sensitive when they sense it's happening again.
part of it is that the Wolves are not exactly going to be contending soon.
so there is all of that going in to it.
