Regardless, I don't see how she runs against Obama in '12. They are tied to the same policies how she come out next year and say "Well, I was only following orders"? Especially when the economy will be better than in '08.

His running the USFL? A bust.
HIs running the Mrs. America pageant? Hahahahahahaahahahahaha.
His company? Always on the brink of bankruptcy.
Seriously, the guy has the ego and the money to be a politician but I'd sooner vote for Al Davis than this guy.

not true at all... in the 06 cycle i was working in philly... obama was EVERYWHERE helping Dem candidates, raising his profile in the party... all of that in the wake of his '04 convention speech that was the opening salvo in his run for president... Jack Ryan didn't "drop out' of the race. He was run out after his wife objected publicly to his attempts to pimp her.

So with that in mind, he may be well qualified for the job if he follows in the footsteps of previous politicians.

Yup. ECB maybe but only because people outside of NYC-metro don't know enough about him. Give him 2 weeks of a national campaign and he would have a huge percentage of America eating of his hand.

You didn't refer to him as bankrupt in the past tense. You referred to him as bankrupt in the present tense, which he's not. Now if you had said formerly bankrupt you would have been correct.houndawg wrote:You mean he's not currently bankrupt.BDKJMU wrote:

oh how wrong you are... I was there, I remember... Obama, Edwards, Hillary and Biden were freaking EVERYWHERE... so was Feingold. Part of why we got so much help on our race in Philly... that and they were scouring campaigns across the country, cherry-picking staffers for 08.89Hen wrote:Obama was nowhere on the national scene in 2006.TwinTownBisonFan wrote:

They might not have been visible to you - but that hardly matters. What matters this far out is Iowa and New Hampshire (and for the conks South Carolina) so that's where the GOPer hopefuls should have organizations... what we didn't see in 2010 too much were conk contenders coming in as heavy bats for fundraising or political help in the states... (Palin somewhat, but that's about it) we DID see this in 06 with the Dem field.
