James Blake out in the first round of another Grand Slam... stick a fork in him, his time among the elite is over.

He is 29, well beyond the prime age for Grand Slam winners. Not many winners past the age of 27.

Yup, just another reason to think he's toast... but even after 27 and 30... Players of his caliber usually don't get booted in straight sets in the first round of a tournament.

random.....

There is a Croatian womens tennis player named Karolina Sprem. I'm guessing a last name like that could lead to some awkward typos. (but then, there are alot of last names in that category).

Yes, those are the types of things that run through my head most of the time.

and just because I'm bored.

Yup, nobody but Nadal can touch him on grass. Crazy to think that he was within a couple of games of going for his 7th straight this year.

Not worth watching until the immortal Jenny Cap returns...

SuperHornet's Athletics Hall of Fame includes Jacksonville State kicker Ashley Martin, the first girl to score in a Division I football game. She kicked 3 PATs in a 2001 game for J-State.

I can't decide whether your obsession with female athletes is creepy or just annoying.

About as annoying as female tennis players being paid the same as men for doing half the work and producing half the excitement. :thumb:

Well as far as excitement in my pants goes, I'd have to say the women produce a little more. ;)

I don't know... if you close your eyes while Sharapova is playing the audio is pretty intense... I'm just sayin'... I mean if you're into screamers and all...

Also, Capriati is 33... I give 1 in a 1,000,000 shot of coming back and actually winning a tournament... any WTA tournament... maybe even a 1 in a million shot of winning a set in her first match of that tournament. Three shoulder surgeries and hasn't played a professional match since 2004? Good career... tough breaks personally... but a good player when womens tennis was actually interesting...

Crappy quality... but this about sums it up.

I don't give two sh#ts about mens tennis, and never watch it when it's on TV.
I will however watch womens tennis now and again.

I find the play itself just as exciting, and the athletes are a hell of alot more better looking to me.

Watch it pal, or you'll get an earful from Superhornet.

Jennifer Capriati would play Federer off the court.
