What's up with Kim Jong Un?

Post by CID1990 »

We haven't offered him food aid or planeloads of cash

But he meets with the Prez of SoKo and then Pompeo and suddenly its puppy dogs and unicorns

If we can get some kind of verification regime in place then that would be a big deal, but I'm not holding my breath

Or maybe Kim just wants a visa so he can attend NBA games?

That’s the most logical answer.

I wonder why China suddenly decided to rein him in?

Trump is probing to see whether we can re enter the TPP

Doing that and giving China room on the Paracel and Spratly Islands are not compatible

he cant do both

Was reading that Trump had been working on enough bilateral trade agreements and such that he was putting the screws to China.

Getting NoKo to give up nukes was how China was going to get some relief and that allows China to save face.

Don't know how accurate the site was, but they called it a couple weeks before it happened.

Economic pressure on China.

Wut? The same guy who launched those stupid tariffs is angling for a new trade deal? That’s not 3-D chess...that’s “significant scatter”

Alls I'm saying is that the idea is being explored. He asked a cabinet member to look into what a revisiting of the TPP would look like, I don't remember who

And yeah - thats pretty typical Trump isnt it? In a year he'll be asking for single payer health care

But rest assured - if we're considering a multilateral with ASEAN then relaxing on the S China Sea would be a deal breaker for just about everybody involved
