LBJ isn’t a bad comeback. :thumb:

But if only we’d had Reagan. Why he would have helped with the sale of arms to Saudi Arabia to fund the Syrian Rebel freedom fighters. And then cut taxes on the rich and raised them on the middle class 11 times to pay for the tax cuts on the rich. While providing amnesty to 11 million dreamers....making, as Judah Friedlander describes, America ...the greatest country in the United States!

:notworthy:
How many times have you trotted out that misleading red herring? The middle class saw a net tax decrease under Reagan.

Saying Reagan raised taxes on the middle class 11 times is like saying an offense in football had 11 negative yardage plays, while ignoring the 60 plays that went for positive yardage.

Ok so that phrasing is slightly misleading. I must have missed the part in your link that mentioned payroll taxes or where the middle class saw an overall net tax decrease when considering all taxes?

Perhaps a kinder way to describe things was Reagan shifted more of the tax burden from the rich. Did that raise lower class boats in the long run? Outstanding growth occurred for a few years followed by a downturn. The debt exploded saddling up future generations.

Arguing about Reagan with a bunch of Republicans...

It's like trying to tell kids at Jesus Camp that Noah's ark is really just a story
Ultimately there is going to be a lot of crying...
