Conservatives are getting soft on crime these days.

They only executed 7 Japanese for war crimes. Their crimes were considerably different than waterboarding.......nothing like killing hundreds and thousands of people.

A vast majority of Japanese people convicted of war crimes had their sentences commuted or drastically reduced in the spirit of reconciliation. Not the best example to use if you ask me. If all the Japanese did was waterboard our troops, they would have been thrilled.

The used human test subjects for biological and chemical weapons. They cannibalized prisoners as a way of hardening their troops - as a matter of Imperial Army policy
