Exactly. I'm more disappointed in his management abilities (ie; lack of ability to manage this properly) than in the deed itself....poor judgement....

Last week I made a joke and in the course of it I referred to Mrs. Sanford as a slut.

Mark to offense to that and me in my usual jerkiness I basically told MarkCCU to fuck off.

I realize all this is in jest but while my impression of Mr Sanford is in the toilet, I have been quite impressed with Ms Sanford and she was impressive before this. Wall Street and ran her husband's campaign. I particularly when ask if Mark should resign, she said his career is not my concern

COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina Gov. Mark Sanford said Tuesday that he "crossed lines" with a handful of women other than his mistress — but never had sex with them. The governor said he "never crossed the ultimate line" with anyone but Maria Belen Chapur, the Argentine at the center of a scandal that has derailed his once-promising political career.

"This was a whole lot more than a simple affair, this was a love story," Sanford said. "A forbidden one, a tragic one, but a love story at the end of the day." Are you kidding me...

At this point, and obviously other points in his life, he is simply being selfish. Continued publicity, continued statements simply hurts his family. He needs to resign and STFU.
