I think that you really, really don't sufficiently appreciate what's going on with demographic trends in this country. I'm talking about both ethnicity and generational. The Republican Party is in a dangerous zone right now. The storm clouds are on the horizon.

1. I didn't say that, the polls do and JSO likes him some polls.
We've been through this many times. If "Team Brown" means Black and/or Hispanic voters they have not "stampeding onto the Trump Train."

The Trump job approval poll up at RCP right now, for example, is an Economist/YouGov poll conducted July 15-17. In answer to the question "Do you approve or disapprove of the way Donald Trump is handling his job as President?" 8% of Blacks and 25% of Hispanics answered "yes."

You can view the results at https://d25d2506sfb94s.cloudfront.net/c ... Report.pdf. Question 80.

I watch this all the time and that's consistent with what's been consistently going on with the overwhelming majority of polls that break things down.

And, again: Trump did better than Romney among Blacks and Hispanics. But Romney was running against a non White candidate. Trump did poorer than average historically for a Republican among both groups.

This idea that the polls have ever shown or or showing now that "Team Brown" likes Trump is just complete nonsense.

Oh, and BTW, in that YouGov poll I just referenced Democrats have a 71 percentage point lead over Republicans among Blacks and a 31 percentage point lead among Hispanics. That's question 119. Very consistent with historical trends.

If you think the Republicans have made progress with their problem of non Whites overwhelmingly supporting Democrats you are kidding yourself. And there is no reason to kid yourself.

And I did not go looking for a poll that would best support of view. I just picked the poll at the top of the RCP list and it happens to be a poll that breaks things down enough to look at the question. You can do it yourself if you want. You can look at all the polls on such questions and you will see that the body of polling is consistent with the situation I'm describing.

There is no benefit to Republicans telling themselves that Trump is improving their situation with respect to non Whites when it isn't true. When you've got a problem there is no benefit to being in denial about it.

AZ, Trump is very unpopular with "Team Brown." When people start this stuff of claiming that there has been some kind of change in the basic picture whereby the "Team Brown" picture now looks better for the Republicans so that the underlying demographic trends no longer appear to spell ultimate doom for the Republican Party they are either lying or they have no idea as to what's going on. It is what is is.

John, what do the polls say about Trump's popularity with Team Brown since November 2016?

She might, Obama became President a scant 12 years after being elected to the Illinois state house. And she has charisma on the level of Obama or Clinton. And the number of female elected officials of all kinds is going to skyrocket over the next few years.. :coffee:

John, what do the polls say about Trump's popularity with Team Brown since November 2016?
I just posted about that. They said he was very unpopular among non Whites then. They say he's very unpopular among non Whites now. You can check for yourself. It is what it is.

Like for instance you can look at the latest poll up on RCP with respect to Trump favorability up right now at https://d25d2506sfb94s.cloudfront.net/c ... Report.pdf. Go to 76A. 8% of Blacks and 29% of Hispanics said they have a favorable view of Trump.

Exit polling during the 2016 election had 8% of Blacks and 28% of "latino" voting for Trump. And the 8% of Blacks was the lowest level among Blacks for a Republican candidate EXCEPT for the two candidates who ran against the Black guy. The 28% of Hispanics was below the average historically for Republican candidates among Hispanics.

I really hope you're alive when it happens.
She might, Obama became President a scant 12 years after being elected to the Illinois state house. And she has charisma on the level of Obama or Clinton. And the number of female elected officials of all kinds is going to skyrocket over the next few years.. :coffee:
She still has to win in Nov. Should be interesting considering she won with a sparse turnout and Crowley will be on the ballot as some random 3rd party (NY Family party or something). He has also said he is not running but is not really in a hurry to try and remove his name form the ballot (apparently something not easily done in NY). This kinds of reminds me of that Eddie Murphy movie where he wins a Congress seat on name recognition from to former incumbent with the same last name (don't remember the movie title).

That said I want this commie to win. She should provide for ample entertainment in the future, hell she just said she want to help flip a seat in Kansas red...which can mean one of 2 things: 1) she is an idiot and doesn't realize red is for conks...or 2) she want the seat to go commie like her. Not sure if there is a commie like her running in Kansas, so I'm assuming she doesn't even know what colors stand for whom.
