Almost got shut out. All these Vikings fans thinking their team was so great after last year. The Philly game showed them how good they were. Minnesota had an easy schedule last year, making their defense look better statistically than they actually were. Lot of Super Bowl talk by Minnesota fans this year. Who gets cut/blamed this week. Last week they cut the kicker.

It's one thing to lose big.
It's another to lose big to the 2018 Buffalo Bills at home.
In other news, that RTP on C Matthews today was horseshit. This is supposed to be pro football, not tiddlywinks. Jeezis.

Yeah Crawford for the Cowboys had a similar call. This new rule is a load of shit.

How are you supposed to wrap up a guy while running at full speed, and then in midair during the fall to the ground, shift your weight so that you don't fall on him with most of your weight?

Now they get the Rams in LA on a short week, and then have to go to Philly again. The Rams are the best team in the NFL right now, and the Eagles, as Wentz gets back into it, aren't far behind. Tough way for the Vikes to enter a two game road trip.
The Vikings looked in postseason form yesterday, they haven't looked like that since the NFC Championship game last season actually. Way to tear up that Bills D Captain Kirk.....

What wasn't fundamental about Matthews' sack of Smith? It was pretty much textbook. Williams Hayes of the Dolphins tore his ACL trying to make an unnatural tackle to avoid the dumb rule.
And I'm not trying to be facetious on this one: If they're really worried about QB safety, designate the QB as a two-hand touch tackle or put flags on their hips.

I believe it IS possible. But I also believe that it is unavoidable sometimes.
If you hit a tackling dummy (a stationary object), it can be done. But it's certainly possible that the QB moves in the same direction that you do as you go to the ground.
It's a bad rule that, while enforceable, is unable to distinguish intent from accident. Think about a receiver getting his feet tangled up with a cornerback from behind. It clearly affected the ability of the receiver from catching the ball, but the refs don't have to call interference because it can be declared unintentional.
