I think the whole story is based on a false premise. Obviously liberals do have a sense of humor. Most of the most successful comedians are liberals. All the late night talk show guys for instance. They are having a blast making fun of Trump. Having a total buffoon like that as the face of the conservative movement may be the best thing that ever happened to them.

Seriously, there is an establishment in Rehoboth Beach where the restaurant entrance is one door, the bar is another door. The restaurant patrons are mostly straight, but the bar is solidly and aggressively gay. If you want a drink before dinner, and you’re straight, go to the restaurant and order one from the waiter.
