A good article on something I have been saying until I was blue in the face:

https://nationalinterest.org/feature/uk ... nato-37287

This is why we should not have expanded NATO after the wall came down. And our romancing of Ukraine and Georgia are precisely why Russia has destabilized and invaded them -

Would go one step, never had NATO period. We always had enough issues of our own.

Turns out Gorsuch is becoming a pleasant libertarian surprise...

And the suggestion that Garland might well have gone the other way on this one.

Gorsuch, Sotomayor, and Thomas - champions of civil liberties?

Was reading though the transcript of that case this morning. Mr. Fisher really needs to do more background prep on potential questions the Justices might ask. he was caught flat-footed way too many times by some of their questioning.

As for the Garland possibly going the other way on this case is just pure irony.

No sympathy, here.

I could understand if it were some kind of ethnic name or if you actually used rules of English phonics to spell the a made-up name, but the way they spell the girl's name makes no sense and is only done because you think it's cool to have 5 consecutive letters of the alphabet in a name.

How do you think it looks on a resume or college application and you have a name that looks like someone forgot to fill in the template?

Agreed. Poor girl will have to go through life explaining and spelling her name because her parents thought it was cute.

Back in my band days in Charleston, another musician came up with a name for a pick up band we were considering starting... the name was “LMNOP”

Pronounced “Element Opie”

Ibanez that was Donnie Polk

Just an observation...reactions to GHWB's death on twitter demonstrates the principle that the right thinks people who disagree with them are naive if not stupid, while the left thinks people who disagree with them are hateful if not evil.

And no, I'm not talking about comment sections or random anonymous people, I'm talking people who Tweet with the blue check marks.

What's a hundred billion times 25 years..?

:geek:

Remember: The Bush administration said the Iraq war would cost $60 bn
any reasonable estimation is never less than $800 bn and some have it at $1.5 trillion

does it really seem that crazy
that the Pentagon can't account for 20% of it's finances over the last two decades ?

Over 17 yrs the Pentagon can't account for ~$21T. Yes, that number is larger than our GDP but that's over 17 years - not one year. GDP is often represented as annually or quarterly. Can we really compare annual GDP to 17 years of expenditures.

And Rep. Occasional Cornhole thinks an estimated 17 yrs worth of expenditures means we could, YoY, fund Medicare for all?! Jeez. She's putting that information out for the low-information voters. What a dishonest leech.

So what she's saying is don't set money on fire in this dumpster

set it on fire in that dumpster over there

No doubt about it...
But at least YOU understand that she's not incorrect about the present dumpster
Pwns doesn't seem to have gotten past that initial step

So for starters:
Yes, the Pentagon doesn't have a clue where 20% of the money goes
and that's year over year since we've been bothering to ask them where it went

Now as far as that dumpster over there...
We can begin the conversation

Yes, the School lunch program is not efficient and should only cost $4.00 a child instead of $6.25
so it's under serious investigation by the present administration
