But this is different then Hillary... She made a promise to serve her full term in 2000 and she did, she admitted in 2006 that she couldnt make a similar promise and suggested voters take that into consideration before they voted. She still easily kicked the crap out of her opponent by the way.
Ayotte promised the Governor in March when she was reappointed that she would serve the entire term.... Now three months later she resigns. Surely she knew then what she knows now as it was known a month before she made the promise that Senator Judd Gregg wasnt going to run for re-election.... She says the landscape has changed since she made the promise, truth is it changed long before she made it.
But I suppose this is all ok... In 2010 she will lose to Rep Paul Hodes and then New Hampshire will have completely ridded itself of her. Meantime we can now get an honorable Attorney General for the state.

I'd much rather have my politicians resign to seek higher office than to carry on the pretense that they're actually accomplishing anything while IN office, and campaigning for a DIFFERENT office (Obama, McCain, Biden, Palin).
