I think you need to call the author's bluff and actually look at the video some. No, I did not watch every second of it. I scrolled through to try to pick out points where things were going on. There were a handful of Black nut jobs yelling things. I'm guessing there may have been 5 but certainly less than 10. They were no threat to anybody. And you can see this large group of maga hat people becoming very threatening. The video is going to be a fail for anybody trying to defend those kids if people actually watch it.

And there are obvious things in the author's story that makes one wonder if HE actually watched it. Like this:

Things continue to heat up between the small group of Israelites and Catholics. About 1:12 into the video, Nathan Phillips and a couple of other nearby Native Americans at an unrelated gathering come to try to break up what he perceives as a bad situation about to turn violent. He's a former Marine and has explained why he felt compelled to intervene and what he experienced during the event.

So now we have what appears to be three Native Americans with drums singing/drumming in an attempt to defuse tensions between a large group of teens and the small group of Israelites. This might be where the clip that went viral of the smirking/disdainful teen is taken, but it's hard to tell for certain. Either way, as Nathan walks slowly towards the group - in a completely non-threatening way considering how vastly outnumbered he is - the kids enclose him and start chanting the familiar Florida State Seminole chant and getting highly animated/aggressive.

At this point, the Israelite preacher repeats, "y'all better not touch him" several times, sensing that things were about to turn violent.

Nathan appears to have put himself in harm's way to try to break up what he thought was about to be a violent mob fight, but quickly senses the kids were about to turn violent against him. Two very salient comments Nathan made in his interview about things were at this point in the event:

"If their own instructors, their own teachers, their own chaperones, would have handled the situation right from the beginning, it would have never have happened," Phillips said. "I would have never been bothered with it."

"I'm a Marine Corps veteran and I know what that mob mentality can be like. That's where it was at." Phillips said he recalled "the looks in these young men's faces...if you go back and look at the lynchings that was done and you'd see the faces on those people...that's what these faces looked like."

So now the counter-narrative from third party Trumpers is that this is a combination of media spin and/or anti-MAGA conspiracy, and that the crowd of 100% MAGAs was about to be attacked by either: a) the five Israelites who never moved, or b) a small, elderly Native American man with a drum who moved slowly into the space between the two groups to break up what he thought was about to turn into a violent situation.

Nathan is the only hero/good guy here. The Israelites behaved horribly and some teens were on the verge of turning into violence, and behaved aggressively and disrespectfully. The primary blame is on the chaperones, who should have moved the kids out 10-15 minutes into this video.

For if you did, you would have noticed the comment from the Black Hebrews right after "you better not touch him" comment.

One of the guys comments on how Phillips "put the spirit of calm" in them. The Black Hebrews commented on how calmed down the kids got for Nathan.

This comment came about 3 minutes after the main Black Hebrew tried to invite violence from the kids and pretty much laughed off their non response. He could tell the kids "weren't going to start" anything.

I've seen mobs just like that as well...at high school sporting events for fucks sake.

So now we have two immediate statements from the Black Hebrews about how the boys were first, chicken to start anything, and secondly, when their spirits were calmed as Nathan walked up.
