Kamala Harris taking some flak basically for being a prosecutor and doing and saying things that get DAs reelected.

Other than being a white male, he ticks a ton of boxes when it comes to identity politics. It'll be interesting if he gets any traction - he has some potential backing from Obama in his pocket, curious if he's able to generate any following in what's sure to be a crowded field. The fact that he's not of Washington in any shape or form is interesting.mainejeff wrote:First "out" gay candidate ever now running......

Yes, he ticks the youth box as well. But yes, under 70 should really be a requirement in at least the next election. I'm growing weary of the old folks (and in some cases really old - i.e. over 80) occupying so much of the government, especially the leadership roles. I'm not really getting the wisdom vibe from many of them that you would hope old age would be indicative.mainejeff wrote:He is a white male under 70 though.GannonFan wrote:

No worse than any of the other ones, he does lack familiarity, so he really needs to get his name out there to have a chance. Other than being gay, what is known about him policy wise?

Fauxcahontas was feeling a bit left behind by Kamala Harris, so she just proposed a 2% wealth tax on the 1%'ers.
See, this is how the Democrats might still snatch defeat from the jaws of victory next year.

Get ready, because you’re going to see every leftist, marxist idea in the book advocated in the next 1.5 years during the donk primaries, which will be the most left ever. . Like I said in the conk nomination thread.93henfan wrote:Fauxcahontas was feeling a bit left behind by Kamala Harris, so she just proposed a 2% wealth tax on the 1%'ers.

Re: 2020 Democratic Nomination Process Mega-thread
Let’s take just one of the progressive pie in the sky wish list items - Medicare for All (instead of all of them)....
Let’s make it debt-neutral (instead if the usual “... and I’ll make China pay for it!”)
And let’s put an 80% tax on the 1%ers to pay for it
How much does that lower the necessary *significant* tax hike on people in the middle class?
(that’s a rhetorical question.. I already know the answer)
