When your dog digs under your fence to escape, he isn’t digging a tunnel, but a hole. Fido just needs a hole or trough under the fence enough to writher or through. Fido is able to escape not because fences don’t work, but because you have an inadequate fence design. If the fence extended several feet into the ground, Fido wouldn’t likely be able to dig under it. It was the same thing on a larger scale here- these people dug a hole under the fence, not a tunnel.

Push for "wall" funding was either going to be:
-Latter half of 2017, with the 2018 FY Budget. Wasn't the big fight latter half of 2017 tax cuts?
-Latter half of 2018, with the 2019 FY budget. Less likely to get funding for it 2018, being an election year, and donks unified against Trump being able to fullfill his #1 campaign promise.
-Latter half 2019, with the FY 20 budget, IF the conks had held House, since made pickups Senate.

Back late 2017 when dealing with the tax cuts, he might have thought conks would hold the House, and if he couldn't get the funding latter half 2018, would get it latter half 2019.

True, but those tunnels are mostly built by the cartels, not for for smuggling people, but drugs. They aren't going smuggle hordes of illegals through their rather elaborately built tunnels, because loose lips sink ships. I remember hearing of at least one of those tunnels where after the tunnel was built, the cartels murdered all the laborers who built it, in order to keep it a secret.

And I just saw the news a few minutes ago that she will not be counter-offering Trump on his speech from Saturday.
