As previously noted: Republicans have zero high ground to stand on. They've spent the last two years dismissing all of Trump's problems by saying "But the policy positions..."

22 women accused him of sexual misconduct. He had that Access Hollywood tape. We could all see an ad in which he said he hand picked instructors for the scam known as Trump University and it's a matter of public record that he was forced in a deposition to say he lied about that. You know, cheating people out of 10s of thousands of dollars at a pop. He did the thing he described in his own book where he scammed potential investors by having construction workers act like they were working on a project when they weren't. He has been sued by countless contractors for cheating them. He and his father discriminated against Blacks looking for apartments. He attacked a judge's objectivity by calling him a "Mexican." He did the Central Park Five thing. He did the "shithole countries" thing. I could go on. And on. The guy is and always has been a complete atrocity.

But Republicans constantly rationalize supporting him with "Yeah but the policies..."

Now is not the time for Republicans to throw rocks at the Democrats for ANYTHING they do in terms of this sort of thing. The Democrats have NEVER rallied behind somebody as bad as Trump is. Not even Bill Clinton.
