Unpopular Opinion: I think we can take the field of donk candidates so far as a tacit admission that Democrats understand that being a woman is an advantage in presidential politics, but of course we can't speak that truth publicly lest we piss off the intersectionality police.

There's far more people out there that think electing a woman president should be a priority than there are people that wouldn't vote for a woman, and of course criticisms of candidates can be deflected as supposed sexism that no one would give to male candidates.

Yet, even with those advantages and having all that experience, Hildabeast still got beat by a novice.

I love how all the non Native Americans are calling Trump racist for using the term Pocahontas, when it seems the Native American's don't really care about the name, but care about Warren lying instead. Shocker.

Good article on Buttigieg and the changing generational landscape. Could a gay millennial beat Trump?

Every single candidate who has announced so far has some oppo on them out there making the rounds. This thing is going to be a vicious sprint to the left

Before it’s over they might be accusing each other of having small hands

I think we've gotten for the point where most people understand that an occurrence of wintry weather does not contradict the climate change hypothesis.

I think we are still in a time where the climate change issue is not a big winner for Democrats. But I think public opinion on that issue, as is the case with many other issues, evolving in the Democrats' favor. I think a day will come up when Republicans wake up and realize they missed the train.

That does not mean I support drastic action to curtail fossil fuel use. I'm just making an observation with respect to what's happening. More and more the Republican Party is becoming the Party of where the culture was in the past while the Democrat Party is becoming where the culture is and will be in the future.

9. 1/23 Peter Buttigieg, 37, Mayor of South Bend, ND 2012-present, would be 1st openly gay donk candidate.

So basically we have now 6 women, Spartacus, Castro, and the gay Peter Butt guy.
If the Libertarian Party nominates someone serious (like Justin Amash) then that's where my vote is going.

If the LP nominates the guy who wears a colander on his head and casts spells, I could see possibly voting for Gabbard or Buttigieg. I'd have to learn a little more about Buttigieg, but I know all I need to know about Gabbard.

There is still nothing from establishment members like Uncle Joe Biden, Pompous John Kerry with James Taylor accompanying him, the Hildabeast, and everyone’s favorite commie Bernie Sanders.

This is going to be very entertaining as they all try to outlib each other.

More and more the Republican Party is becoming the Party of where the culture was in the past while the Democrat Party is becoming where the culture is and will be in the future.
This is what I like about your political analysis JSO. You don't have to agree with something to admit that it is happening or fact.
What he admits is happening is that public opinion is changing. He's not admitting man's role in climate change.

Do you Conks understand that stuff....or are you just playing dumb for political purposes?

Man's role in climate change is probably small, but i think most reasonable people can agree that our short years of industrialization has had some effect - regardless of how much or little. And while we may not be able to reverse, there's no reason why we can't do everything we can to not exacerbate the issue. :coffee: :twocents:

I think we're also dealing with a natural shift in the climate that we can't combat.
