Please list all the times that reasonable banking regulation took down entire capitalistic economies.
Please list all the times that every banking regulation was reasonable.

Sigh....

I fucking hate bureaucracy. But I do believe in regulating banks so they can’t take down the entire economy and then get rewarded for bad behavior by receiving a bailout from the tax payers.

You obviously disagree, and that’s ok.
To be fair, it was the brokerage houses (or brokerage house arms of banks) that took down the economy. There's a huge difference between those guys and 'banking'.

Is it fair to say that Glass Steagall had some "good" regulation?

Being wrong about a topic is called post partisanism - kalm

MAQA - putting the Q into qrazy qanon qult qonspiracy theories since 2015.

It will probably be difficult for MAQA yahoos to overcome the Qult programming but they should give being rational & reasonable a try.

Not "flocking", yet, but the flow rate of Americans to places like Mexico, India, and Spain, for medical and dental is most definitely increasing. :coffee:

Those brokerage houses or brokerage arms became banks with its repeal.

Not technically. But the good part of Glass Steagall that prevented banks from owning brokerage arms was instrumental...

Bingo!

Kalm doesn’t need regulation. I’m an honest actor. It’s the other guy.

You might be starting to get it. :thumb:
