What does a gay dude have to fear from a conservative Prez anyway? Obama is on record as having opposed gay marriage until he changed his mind midterm. Hillary was fervently against until she was for. To my knowledge, Trump hasn’t ever come out in opposition

And Conk.....do you REALLY think that the Supreme Court justice thing won't be an issue in 2020 after it was the defining issue in 2016?

Yes. I cited the most recent A+ rated ABC News/Washington Post poll indicating the problem Trump has with most of the population not wanting him to be President. Unless something changes dramatically in a situation that has remained largely constant since he got elected, ANYBODY who gets nominated by the Democrats will have a good chance to beat him. Some better than others. But most people do NOT want him as President. He's the only President in the history of polling to have done as consistently badly as he has done in both Job Approval and Favorability to this point in his term. He is NOT a strong candidate.

I will admit that the Democrats are screwing up by virtue of having SO many candidates and having their ideological purity tests going on. And the stuff about some percentage NOT wanting it to be a White Male no matter what. If they were playing against a reasonably strong candidate I'd say they have no chance. But they are not playing against a reasonably strong candidate.
I need an outside ruling. You can't rule on your own posts.
I would say, considering JSOs history, that yes he made a significantly "new" post.

He gets a gold star.

Slate and Salon's rumphurt over Biden's lead in the polls is delicious.

Disagree. He pulls out a marginally newer poll, from a source he always uses, to make the same point he’s belabored dozens of times.

JSO doesn't go on his usual binge of why trump is bad/evil/stupid blah blah blah.

The cliff notes are

"Here's a poll. Trump is weak."

Kind of like anyone voting for a dem because they actually believe them when they say "we aren't coming for your guns" or "if you like your healthcare provider you can keep them" or "socialism is good" or any other number of things. :coffee: :coffee:
