So was Trumps - and he said he knew the speech.

People flub their words. Trump does, Obama does. Nobody is immune to it. But flubbing a word isn’t the same as thinking Guam will tip over or that we had air support during the American Revolution.

When Obama said 57 states, my uncle liberated Auschwitz, ‘corpse’man, etc, etc, etc, he simply mis spoke.
When Trump said airports instead of ports, he didn’t misspeak, he’s a moron.
Do I have that right?

1) The right made a huge deal out of all the above Obama gaffes.
2) There was more than just the airports that Trump screwed up.
3) Remember these:

On previous occasions, Trump has derided critics for relying on a teleprompter when delivering speeches. In 2012 he said of then-President Barack Obama, "Why does @BarackObama always have to rely on teleprompters?" And in 2016 he railed on his Democratic opponent Hillary Clinton tweeting, "Bad performance by Crooked Hillary Clinton! Reading poorly from the telepromter! She doesn't even look presidential!"

But now it is ok to use Telprompters, and screwing up with them is ok?
It would be interesting if the Trump apologists actually addressed this ^

I didn’t watch the speech so maybe my guess would change if I saw it -

But I think Trump didn’t rehearse the speech (because he’s Trump), went in cold, and fvcked it up

nobody older than 15 years old believes we were flying in the 18th century - all jokes aside - nobody is that ignorant not even Trump

I suspect he got hung up on something in the text

I think even if panicked, most people won’t start rambling about flying in the 18th century.

Then again , Trump only rambles and is too proud to admit anything wrong.

I'm not. I don't understand why so many so called republicans and conservatives continue to accept him. He's the antithesis of Republicanism and Conservatism.

Oh that's right, he isn't Hiliary. That's a weak argument. There were ~18 other people who were running in 2016 that would've been better (except Cruz. )

I don't think Ibanez is bitter over Trump. He doesn't hate him irrationally like the donks and he doesn't blindly adore him like the conks. He sees him as he is, both good and bad.

I understand the continue to accept him thing - what alternative is there for them? He's the President now, so you can't go back to 2016 and change things. So Republicans and conservatives can either 1) wash their hands of him now and get nothing they want through or 2) hold their noses and work with him and get their stuff through. Why wouldn't they go with door #2 in that case? He's not the President they would want but he's there now and for all of his buffoonery he's certainly carried the water for them on several issues (tax cuts, judicial make-up, regulatory slowdown, etc), and all without causing any irrevocable catastrophe. And being an incumbent, especially a Presidential one, is so significant that they'll have no choice but to ride this out through a potential second term (which despite the unlikeliness of it a year ago looks more and more possible, although no sure thing, as the Dems run through their nomination process). Politics is almost always practical and never ideal. That's what the GOP has with Trump.

I'm not sure they're chagrined, they've just invented catastrophes. Kind like the right did with Obama.

And before you respond with Obamacare, Obamacare is probably similar to the Trump Tax Cut on the catastrophe scale depending on your perspective.

Every invented catastrophe increases from the one before it - it's like a vicious circle. The folks on the left thought Dubya was a puppet being controlled by the evil Dick Cheyney, then the folks on the right were convinced that Obama was going for the guns and was going to abolish private ownership of anything, and now the folks on the left were/are convinced that the Republic is over and Trump is just waiting to flip the switch on a fascist martial law state while simultaneously launching nuclear war on countries that criticize his Twitter account. You keep thinking that whatever crazy is out there can't be topped, but then the other side falls out of power and they take crazy just a few steps more. Can't imagine what the folks on the right will come up with to top the current crazy of the left, but I've got faith that they have it in them to even surpass this. :ohno:

Open borders.
Free healthcare for illegals.
Illegals voting.
Live birth abortion.
Socialized medicine.
Wealth redistribution.
Multi-trillion dollar “new deals”.

You don’t have to be crazy. The left fills in the blanks for you. Those aren’t the right’s “crazy” opinions. Those are planks of their fucking platform.
