Russia interferes in our politics and have been doing so since the October Revolution

They are clumsy at it and the only people they appeal to are the dimmest bulbs we have (whose minds aren’t changing)

China is MUCH more sophisticated and they have about 500,000 boots on the ground within the US... articulate, fiercely patriotic, and ready to serve

But they will also only appeal to the dimmest bulbs .... and won’t change any minds either

The problem here is that their currency involves trade with all countries, not just US. We could see a worldwide backlash against China.

People around the world are more fond of China than they are of Trump so that might be wishful thinking

But it certainly put the exclamation point on routine unfair trade practices that China uses - like currency manipulation

Another gift to American oligarchs. They'll use this to foreclose on small farms, buy land at dirt-cheap prices, use it for factory farming, or just sit on the land to drive up value.

The divide keeps getting larger, but at some point you run out of sympathy for those who keep supporting conservative voodoo economics. Dumb and confident is a very dangerous combination.
